PCI’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services create a co-employer relationship with clients whereby PCI becomes the administrative employer and the client still remains as the operational employer.
Clients enjoy the economies of scale savings as their employee population is pooled in with PCI’s overall PEO client base. PCI assumes all back-office HR-related concerns, which range from offering its large-group employee benefits programs to filing all related employer taxes under PCI’s tax identification number (certain exceptions apply in some states). This concept, sometimes referred to as employee leasing, puts certain employer responsibilities on PCI and frees the client up from having to deal with such compliance matters as securing workers’ compensation, unemployment claims / filings, employee recordkeeping and new-hire reporting.
